Ethiopia’s long distance runner Genzebe Dibaba broke today her own 5,000m World Indoor Record at the Galan XL Meeting in Stockholm, Sweden. Dibaba improved Meseret Defar’s
previous world record by more than 5 seconds. The new 5,000m world indoor record stands now at 14:18.86.
In the same meeting, Ethiopian-German Homiyu Tesfaye set a new world lead time and new German indoor record in 3:34.13.
